PURPOSE:
To
deliver nutritious noon meals to homebound individuals in the Anniston/Oxford
area. (Currently serving 500 meals a week to 110-120 different clients).
Delivery:
Meals
are prepared at Stringfellow Hospital
Special
diets are prepared as needed
Meals
are delivered to homes Monday-Friday by 125 volunteers from area churches
and businesses
ELIGIBILITY
REQUIREMENTS:

A person
must be unable to prepare meals, and
-
Have
no one to assist in meal preparation, or
-
Require
a special diet supervised by dietitian, and
Meal
Payments:
-
As
of July 1, 2008, the cost of each meal will be $4.75, an increase or $0.75/meal.
The current economy has made this necessary. We regret this increase
is necessary and sincerely hope it does not put too much of a financial
strain on your personal budget.

pay or free meals are available as resources permit
